Our Roots

In 1948, Helen and Max Biderman immigrated to Dallas after surviving the Holocaust in Poland. The Biderman lives focused on family and continuing their Jewish traditions. Though luxuries were few, Helen’s Shabbat dinners were always a feast. A typical dinner included chopped liver, matzo balls or kreplach, a veal roast (you could smell the garlic in the driveway), cholent, and beautifully arranged fruit on a crystal platter.
